I don't understand whats going on! I know that he forgot her Birthday, but what the heck is she talking about? She said she played along and then she started to say she wants her stuff back. I got confused and why do they call it "Potential Breakup Song?"

she is basiclly talking about how her boyfriend is a jerk and how he constantly forgets things and doesn't care much about her so she is pretty much telling us what he does and doesn't do and that she doesn't care about him anymore and that she is going to dump him.
