Doing Potential Breakup Song, please help me!!?
its really best that you sing and just have fun.....if you are very confident about yourself just go out there and do your thing!!!!have a blast....just practice your song and you will do great.....tell me what happens at carriekem@yahoo.com....good luck to both of you guys.
Reply:do it with a lot of emotion, and aditude,
at the parts like,
i want my stuff back, did you get that? lemme repeat that, i want my stuff back.
it really bugs me when ppl just do a straight face the whole time
Reply:try to get classes in if you ca't practice and let people judge you lik 1-10. ask them for tips. don't be mean about the tips part.
Reply:That sounds like SO much fun! I've always wanted to do duets, because I suck at solos (I freeze) and no one can hear me in a chorus, but duets are fun and you get to move around and groove to the beat! YEAH! XD
Sing out louad and practice a lot, but not enough to make your head spin. Move around. This is a very up-beat song with attitude. Shake your head, point, dance, spin, nod, wave your arms in a frantic manner to distract someone. ANYTHING. It may seem silly to you, but the audience will think it looks neat. Don't rehearse EVERYTHING. Add in a few moves on your own on the night of the show, so it looks authentic. Don't forget to SMILE. Add emphasis on some of the lyrics. Act as if you ARE in the song. Oh, make sure to wear matching outfits. That's always cute, but cheesy cute. xD If you feel freaked out, just ignore the audience, and stare straight out. That's perfect, because you WANT to look straight out. Looking at the audience, especially down bellow is weird. Looking down and nodding once or twice is fine. Oh, don't wear long sleeves. Or don't wear anything too hot. I don't know your heat tolerance, but I don't have that much. Add your nervousness, the stage lights, your natural body heat, the heat from dancing around, and maybe a fever if you have one (lol. xD) can really add up. I've heard of plent of people who fainted on the stage. Don't be one of them. Wear short sleeves, or maybe the layered look with shorts, or something a bit punk but not way overboard. Don't wear skirts either. That's obvious. LOL.
Oh, and if it helps, have a good snack or meal before the talent show. I dunno when yours is, but ours is always at our dinner time so by the time my turn comes (and it's usually the last... lol) I feel very weak and dizzy. Don't forget some sodas to get you hyped up and energized! I know that helps a TON. If you can, bring water bottles and snacks while you're waiting for your turn. Wouldn't it suck to ruin your song because of a dry throat?! Drink a few cups of Mountain Dew before you get to the talent show area. Get pumped up! XD
If you want anymore, e-mail me. Hope I helped. :D
Reply:give alot of different faces and show like emotion and stuff dont just stand still and keep the same face the whole time..move around!!!
Reply:try and get a few vocal classes in before your show. as long as you are confident you'll be great! tell yourself before the show that you know you're a great singer and you can do this show! good luck! :)
